What is the Christian Homeschool Assistance Program's Statement of Faith?

Statement of Faith

I. The Word of God:

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

II. The Trinity:

Within the one Being that is God, there has existed from all eternity three coequal Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1-2, 14)

III. Salvation:

All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act. (Romans 3:23 and 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-2) Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by faith, not by any personal works, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 6:23;Ephesians 2:8-9)

IV.  Marriage

Marriage constitutes the union between one biological man and one biological woman. (Gen. 2:22-24; Matt. 19:4-6; Heb. 13:4-7; Mk. 10:6-9; 1 Cor.7:1-16)

Why was the Christian Homeschool Assistance Program founded?

Because I have over 20+ years of homeschooling many different types of children, I have seen a need over the years for a sense of community among homeschooling families. Sometimes homeschooling families feel alone in their endeavor to educate their children. I’ve seen firsthand burnout and exhaustion from many mothers.  We look forward to partnering with parents to encourage, educate and strengthen their efforts.  I’d like to have classes available with a Biblical worldview for home school students to take.   The Christian Homeschool Assistance Program of Oskaloosa would enable us a ministry through the contact of others with a common goal.

What curriculum will be used for the World History and Literature High school Course?

The World History and Literature High School course will be My Father's World World History and Literature.

A sample of the student manual can be found here.

Do I have to use the My Father World curriculum to be a part of the Synergy group on Thursday afternoons?

No.  But it will be extremely beneficial!

How do I register for classes?

1.  JOIN Christian Homeschool Assistance Program.  (on our website page, the JOIN button is in the upper right-hand corner.)

2.  Next your registration will be accepted or denied.

3.  When your registration is accepted, FIRST log in, THEN click CLASS REGISTRATION.  A matrix should come up with all classes and times.

Simply click on the class you want and select which of your children are to be in that class.

4.  An invoice will be emailed to you.  Payments will be accepted if needed.

5.  It's that simple!  NOTE:  If you need CHAP to supply you with curriculum that we use, let us know so that you can borrow it for the year!

What are the fees to be part of CHAP?

1.  We have a family registration fee of $50.

2.  High School science and math classes are $300 each.

3.  High School World History and Literature class is $500.

4.  Synergy groups have no fee currently, although in the future there is a possibility of a paid Synergy class in which Mom does not have to volunteer.

What is your refund policy for 2021-2022 classes?

After the 15th calendar day, no refunds are available. Tuition is transferable between courses for the current term.

For any drop requests submitted on or before the yearly start date, the registrant will receive a refund of $125 less (per dropped course) than the original tuition amount paid. $125 of the tuition for each course is non-refundable.
