FAQs

Q:

What is the Christian Homeschool Assistance Program's Statement of Faith?

A:

Statement of Faith

I. The Word of God:

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

II. The Trinity:

Within the one Being that is God, there has existed from all eternity three coequal Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1-2, 14)

III. Salvation:

All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act. (Romans 3:23 and 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-2) Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by faith, not by any personal works, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 6:23;Ephesians 2:8-9)

IV.  Marriage

Marriage constitutes the union between one biological man and one biological woman. (Gen. 2:22-24; Matt. 19:4-6; Heb. 13:4-7; Mk. 10:6-9; 1 Cor.7:1-16)

Q:

Do I have to 100% full-heartedly agree with the STATEMENT OF FAITH?

A:

YES

Q:

Why was the Christian Homeschool Assistance Program founded?

A:

Because I have over 20+ years of homeschooling many different types of children, I have seen a need over the years for a sense of community among homeschooling families. Sometimes homeschooling families feel alone in their endeavor to educate their children. I’ve seen firsthand burnout and exhaustion from many mothers.  We look forward to partnering with parents to encourage, educate and strengthen their efforts.  I’d like to have classes available with a Biblical worldview for home school students to take.   The Christian Homeschool Assistance Program of Oskaloosa would enable us a ministry through the contact of others with a common goal.
