BIBLE:  Hero Tales pg. 86-88 about Dwight L. Moody and copy "BOLDNESS in telling others about Jesus comes when you realize that asking Jesus to be your Savior can't always wait until "tomorrow."  

Make a bookmark with the word Matthew in Greek.  We will use this bookmark all year as we read through Matthew.

GEOGRAPHY:  Classroom Atlas pg. 42-45, USA Map activity - On a world wall map we will locate and tell the approximate latitude and longitude for the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River, the Rocky Mountains, Washington DC, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, California, Florida, Maine, and Iowa.  We will locate the isthumus between North and South America.

We will refer to the Classroom Atlas pages 56-57 and discuss.  On the US map student sheet, we will label Washington DC, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, California, Florida, Maine, Iowa, and its bordering states.

If time allows the younger classes will read Dubs Goes to Washington by Dick Morris.  Dubs the golden retriever looks for his ball in Washington DC and passes by many American monuments along the way.
