Mrs. Helena Hayes To All Instructors

I have been homeschooling our three children since 2003. I have taught Physical Science, Biology and Chemistry to homeschool students in the Pella area for six years now. I hold a B.A in Environmental Science and Biology. Before children, I was employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Red Rock as a Park Ranger and then as a Naturalist with the Mahaska County Conservation Board in Oskaloosa. I served for several years as a Naturalist until I respectfully removed myself from the career path so that I could commit to full time motherhood. I have spent the past 18 years serving in various volunteer positions, committees, and teaching capacities, mainly in the area of sciences and with the youth in my community in such organizations as 4-H, Mahaska County Youth Committee, PEACE, and Classical Conversations.
